Spyware Glossary

A platform that supports the authoring and display of multimedia content (e.g., graphics, audio, and/or streaming media). Flash content can appear in a web page or be stored in file. Playing Flash content within a browser is typically done through a Browser Plug-in that includes the Flash player. The Flash player is pre-installed in several web browsers and on different operating systems. Flash MX technology includes a mechanism that can be used as alternative to tracking cookies (see PIE).
