| 4. | Banner | A banner is a graphic image (static, animated, or rich media) that is placed on Websites as an advertisement. Banners are commonly used for brand awareness and generating sales. |
| 5. | Bevel | Adding a beveled effect to a graphic image gives the image a raised appearance by applying highlight colors and shadow colors to the inside and outside edges. |
| 6. | Billing Contact | The billing contact is the person or role account designated to receive the invoice for domain name registration and renewal (re-registration) fees. The billing contact should be in a position to ensure prompt payment of fees. |
| 7. | Bitmap Image | A graphic image stored as a specific arrangement of screen dots, or pixels. Web graphics are bitmap images. A graphic which is defined by specifying the colors of dots or pixels which make up the picture. Also known as raster graphics. Common types of bitmap graphics are GIF, JPEG, Photoshop, PCX, TIFF, Macintosh Paint, Microsoft Paint, PNG, FAX formats, and TGA. |

The Netscape browser lets you bookmark any site and save the bookmarks in a file you can recall at any time. Microsoft Internet Explorer uses the term "favorite" instead of bookmark for the same concept. |
| 9. | Bookmarklets | A bookmarklet is a short piece of JavaScript embedded in a browser bookmark. The JavaScript is executed when the bookmark is selected. The magical thing is that this execution occurs in the context of the current page. The bookmarklet has access to the full document object model of the page and can modify it and use the information therein to launch new windows or redirect the browser to other sites. |
| 10. | Box Model | In Cascading Style Sheets, the box model refers to the rectangular boxes that are generated for elements in the document tree and laid out as specified in the visual formatting model. Every element generates a box, which is call the element box. As the word "box" implies, these are rectangular in shape Each box is made up of a number of parts. In the normal document flow, the element boxes of block-level elements cannot overlap each other (floats and positioning are the exceptions). In other words, the way a page is laid out depends on the size of each and every box. Going down the page, in broad terms, each box begins just below where the previous one ends. | 11. | Breadcrumbs | Breadcrumbs are a type of Web navigation where current location within the Website is indicated by a list of pages above the current page in the hierarchy, up to the main page. It not only shows users where they are currently located in the site's architecture, but it also lets them back up levels one at a time. It is a recursive path. |
| 12. | Broker | A company in the business of buying and selling domain names. Domain name brokers usually act as facilitators between buyers and sellers, but very rarely buy for their own account. |
| 13. | Browser | The software used to view, manage, and access Web pages by interpreting hypertext and hyperlinks. The two most common browsers are Netscape and Microsoft Internet Explorer. Web pages often appear differently depending on the brand and version of the browser intended to view them in. |
| 14. | Bulk Email | The ability to send several E-mails to a specified number of accounts usually stored in a database, saving you from sending one by one. Most hosting companies are against that because of the increase number of SPAM E-mails. |
